Who Are We?

Vertical Divider
The Engineering Ambassadors Network (EAN) is a an alliance of universities that aims to train a cohort of diverse and technically skilled engineering/STEM undergraduates on how to change the way people talk about engineering.  Composed of student chapters from universities across the United States, the Engineering Ambassadors Network is committed to empowering ambassadors with leadership and advanced communication skills so that they can help future generations understand what engineers do and change the conversation about engineering

Our Mission

The Engineering Ambassadors Network is a professional development organization with an outreach mission. Originally created to recruit female students into engineering, the mission of the network has evolved to encourage students from all underrepresented groups to go into STEM. In addition, the focus has evolved to not just recruit students into STEM, but to empower the engineering ambassadors themselves with advanced communication and leadership skills.

Founded in 2009 at Penn State , the network has spread to other universities across the country, and now boasts more than 700 student Engineering Ambassadors.  This mission is accomplished by professionally developing the communication and leadership skills of undergraduate students who serve as a grass roots network to promote STEM.

Statistics

The EA Network continues to grow since the start of the network in 2009. Currently, there are over 700 engineering ambassadors world wide that have impacted over 350,000 K-12 students!
